
Senior Development Planner

We are seeking a seasoned leader to manage our Contributions Planning Team, overseeing development contributions and guiding planning agreements. This role is critical in ensuring every contribution supports the right projects at the right time.
The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, leadership, and financial management. They will also possess exceptional customer and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Lead and develop the Contributions Planning Team.
- Oversee development contributions, planning agreements, and related financial management.
- Prepare and deliver council initiatives in development contributions and contribute to long-term planning.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated ability to understand relevant planning legislation and interpret planning instruments.
- Experience in project management, developing project plans, and tracking progress.
- Leadership and management experience with the ability to lead, facilitate, and motivate across the organisation.
- Exceptional customer and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with executives, Councillors, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Proven high-level written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare well-considered reports for Executive and Councillors.
