Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to patients in the Recovery/PACU department.
- Lead and Mentor Nursing Team Members: Supervise, direct, and guide Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care and support their professional development.
- Develop and Implement Quality Improvement Initiatives: Lead successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes and improve patient care.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs and achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
- Model Safe Practice: Act as a role model for safe practice and promote a culture of safety and excellence within the team.
This hospital is a leading high-level tertiary healthcare facility that specializes in acute surgical and maternity services. It is independently recognized by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality Healthcare for clinical safety and service excellence.
About You- Experience and Qualifications: 2 years RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing with experience in one of the following specialties: Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Urology, OR ENT surgery.
- Authority to Work in Australia: Possess Authority to Work in Australia.
- Working with Children Check: Hold a current Working with Children check.
- Education and Registration: Hold a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent and be currently registered with AHPRA.
- Clinical Expertise and Commitment: Demonstrate clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a high-functioning team.
