School Psychologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at Mount Scopus Memorial College. The successful candidate will work with primary school children (Year 4 to Year 6) at our Smorgon Family Primary School in Burwood, providing psychological support and building the capacity of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychological support to primary school children, focusing on social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and well-being.
• Conduct assessments and develop interventions to address student needs.
• Collaborate with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being.

Requirements:

• Appropriate qualification and experience as a Psychologist.
• A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.
• Experience in working in a similar environment and/or position is preferred but not essential.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
