Serology Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled laboratory professional to join our team as a Serology Laboratory Specialist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic services in the serology lab, working with microbiologically secure techniques, conducting disease surveillance testing, and maintaining accurate test records.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting disease surveillance testing for exotic and infectious diseases of veterinary significance;
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate test records;
- Contributing to quality assurance requirements and undertaking tasks under technical direction;
- Assisting the Serology Team Leader and Technical Manager as required;
- Providing general laboratory support for housekeeping and maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document results and communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders.
A Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree or equivalent relevant work experience in Biological Sciences or a related discipline is essential. Additionally, experience conducting and coordinating laboratory-based experiments or tests is highly desirable.
