Home Care Worker Job Description

At Nurse Next Door, we provide high-quality home care services to individuals in need of assistance with daily life activities.

  • Providing skilled and quality in-home caregiving services
  • Personal care and manual handling of clients, including wheelchair transfers and lifting machines
  • Companionship and medication administration
  • Assisting clients to access the community and skilled nursing services for RNs and ENs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications for the position
  • Current Australian driver's license
  • Ability to travel to client homes in the Newcastle, Port Stephens, Lake Macquarie, and surrounding regions
  • Good communication skills and courtesy when interacting with clients and staff
  • Flexibility and availability for short and long shifts in various times and days
  • Experience in community care, home care, support work, or AIN (highly desirable)
