Job Role Overview
The Service Deli Assistant Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the store's service deli. This position requires leading and developing a team, completing production, executing orders, generating rosters and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team to achieve sales targets and exceptional customer service
- Complete production and execute orders in a timely manner
- Generate rosters for staff and manage time-off requests
- Maintain accurate records of sales, stock levels and employee performance
- Contribute to the development of new initiatives and strategies to improve departmental sales and profitability
Requirements:
- Fresh food retail knowledge is preferred but not essential
- Ability to supervise a team and manage conflict
- Understanding of ordering, cost control and gross profit
- Excellent communication skills with ability to liaise with both team members and management
- A flair for merchandising and commitment to work health and safety standards
