Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team at Eraring Power Station. As a key member of our operational leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production assets, supporting our transition to a cleaner energy future.

About the Role:

This is a pivotal opportunity for a skilled leader who can manage complex operations, drive continuous improvement, and develop high-performing teams. You will oversee the operational performance of one of Australia's largest thermal generation assets, leading up to 80 team members and coordinating with contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage all production activities, ensuring safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, auxiliary systems, and coal handling infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Wholesale & Trading to optimize plant availability and align production with commercial goals.
- Manage emergency response protocols and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, team development, and strategic planning.

What We're Looking For:

- Solid leadership experience in thermal power generation or large industrial operations.
- Qualifications in engineering, science, or management—or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Sound understanding of the National Electricity Market and energy industry operations.
