About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at the Kelsian Group, a leading provider of public transportation solutions. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Timely Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure buses are road-ready and drivers have a reliable vehicle.
  • Follow Service Schedules: Manage minor and major services, as well as vehicle inspections, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct Fleet Inspections: Inspect our fleet to ensure it meets RMS compliance and is ready for passenger use.
  • Handle On-Road Breakdowns: Troubleshoot and repair issues, from damaged mirrors to brake problems, to minimize downtime and ensure passenger safety.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrated work experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.
  • Qualifications: Relevant trade qualifications (MVIRA).
  • Licenses: MR or HR driver's license, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Safety First: Adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Inspection Skills: Ability to complete pre-inspections for RMS compliance.
