Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at the Hoxton Park Depot. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing timely repairs, following service schedules, conducting fleet inspections, and handling on-road breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles to ensure they are road-ready and safe for passengers.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the fleet to ensure compliance with RMS regulations and identify any potential issues.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy vehicles, including brake problems and damaged mirrors.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the depot and the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.
Requirements:
  • Relevant trade qualifications (MVIRA) and experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.
  • MR or HR driver's license, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
