About the role

The Coordinator Student Advice will be responsible for managing a student services team and coordinating academic administration functions and operations, ensuring a high level of service is provided to STEM College students in a multichannel environment. This position provides a point of escalation and resolution and deals effectively with complex enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate a student services team to provide excellent customer service to STEM College students.
  • Coordinate academic administration functions and operations to ensure a high level of service delivery.
  • Provide coaching and training to team members to ensure they are competent and confident in delivering agreed benchmarks and expectations.

Requirements:

  • Highly organised with a proven ability to work independently, use initiative, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines with excellent attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated high-level understanding of academic administration and student service operations, with the ability to coordinate customer-focused service teams and interpret and apply policies and procedures to deliver clear, accurate and timely information and advice.
  • Proven rapport building skills with the ability to provide support and coaching to shape a collaborative team.
  • High level communication and presentation skills including the ability to conduct meetings effectively.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative solutions whilst working to competing deadlines in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build productive relationships to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Proven capability, confidence and accuracy using software applications and large-scale enterprise systems to support service delivery and operational effectiveness.

Benefits:

  • This is a full-time, fixed-term position based at the Melbourne CBD campus.
  • Salaries are paid according to the Higher Education Worker Classification Scale.
  • Superannuation benefits are paid at 17% of salary.

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a student services team and be based at the Melbourne CBD campus. The team is responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to students and staff across the institution. As part of this role, you will have opportunities to work on diverse projects and collaborate with colleagues from different departments.
