Job Description The Role

As Financial Controller, you will oversee all aspects of Mirait's financial operations, playing a pivotal role in the company's financial management and growth.

You will lead a team of four and be responsible for managing the financial operations, including preparing budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the month-end closing process, ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Managing the financial operations, including preparing budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial reports.
  • Ensuring the business adapts its reporting to maintain transparency on key financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Managing all accounting functions, including Payroll, Accounts Receivable/Payable, General Ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Managing all relevant tax keeping and reporting requirements, such as income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and group tax.
  • Serving as the primary liaison for auditors and bankers, coordinating and managing audit processes and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Collaborating with the IT department as the lead advisor on financial system requirements.

Key requirements include:

  • Expert knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Advanced understanding of relevant IT systems and software, such as Exonet and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory and taxation regulation and policies.
  • Understanding of various economic, market, and industry trends that may impact the business.
  • CPA/CA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
