About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical HV Estimator to join our team at Sawyer Sourcing. As an Electrical HV Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assisting with estimating costs and resources needed for various projects involving high voltage electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Assessment: Evaluate the scope and requirements of high voltage projects, including power transmission lines, substations, estates, or industrial electrical systems.
  • Cost Estimation: Calculate the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for each project, taking into account Australian costs of high voltage components and systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Apply knowledge of electrical engineering principles, particularly those related to HV systems, to ensure accurate and feasible estimations.
  • Bid Preparation: Assist the Senior Estimator in preparing detailed and competitive bids for potential projects, compiling all estimates and presenting them in a clear and professional manner.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure that all aspects of the project are considered in the estimates.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all estimates and assumptions made during the estimation process for future reference and accountability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with Australian industry standards, new technologies, and cost trends to improve the accuracy and efficiency of future estimates.
