The Future Generation Joint Venture, comprising WeBuild, Clough, and Lane, has been entrusted with designing and constructing Snowy 2.0, a groundbreaking pumped hydro scheme in the Snowy Mountains, NSW. This monumental project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for generations to come, solidifying its place in Australian history.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing a section of the construction project, ensuring timely completion, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality, safety, and contractual standards. Your role will involve developing and implementing procedures to achieve these objectives, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient construction methodologies, including improved drilling and blasting techniques.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors to create a detailed project schedule, resource allocation, and material delivery plans.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing delays.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure seamless integration with other project sections.
  • Monitor off-site procurement items against project timelines.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on surface blasting practices, ensuring statutory compliance and minimizing unnecessary problems.
  • Scrutinize, inspect, and approve blast block designs to ensure safe blasting practices and adherence to set standards.
  • Monitor and analyze blasting activities, submitting recommendations to achieve desired fragmentation.
