Job Description:

The position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a leading renewable energy platform requires an individual to drive financial strategy and operational excellence across Australian operations.

This organisation is at the forefront of the energy transition with a significant presence in solar, BESS, and hybrid developments. Backed by global institutional investors and operating with a long-term infrastructure mindset, it combines agility with scale and credibility.

As the business enters a new phase of growth, the strategic finance leader will work closely with the CEO and executive team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all core finance functions: financial control, reporting, tax, treasury, audit and compliance.
  • Overseeing capital strategy, including project financing, debt structuring and equity management.
  • Managing risk frameworks, forecasting, budgeting and long-term business planning.
  • Supporting M&A activity and driving value creation across new and existing assets.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, board members and external parties.

The ideal candidate profile includes minimum 10 years' experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within energy, infrastructure or other capital-intensive sectors. Proven experience in complex project finance, treasury and capital markets is preferred. Strong stakeholder engagement skills are also essential.
