Animal Welfare Specialist

Our facility is a cutting-edge PC2 laboratory for breeding and holding experimental animals, primarily mice.

We are seeking an exceptional Animal Welfare Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality animals for research while maintaining the highest standards in breeding and animal welfare.

This full-time position offers ongoing employment with competitive benefits. Working hours will be Tuesday to Saturday, 6:30am - 2:30pm.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must be an effective team player with previous experience working in an animal facility. Knowledge of breeding systems and animal husbandry is essential, as well as understanding of animal ethics best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a small team.
  • Physical fitness and capability to assist with manual tasks (such as lifting boxes and equipment).
  • Sound administrative skills and computer literacy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
