About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment, assembling new drill rigs and associated equipment, and interpreting technical manuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in accordance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment at all times.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repair of plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assemble new drill rigs and associated equipment according to specifications.
  • Interpret technical manuals, scopes of work, and parts lists to determine requirements.
  • Select and use appropriate materials, tools, and methods to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements
  • A trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Mobile Plant, or Fitting and Machining (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions is crucial.
  • High-risk work licenses: LF, DG.
