Wind Turbine Blade Specialist Job

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team of Wind Turbine Blade Specialists. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on wind farms across Australia, conducting thorough visual inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs on wind turbine blades.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in blade repair and a passion for renewable energy. Industry-specific experience as a rope access technician, composite repairs, etc. is also highly regarded.

Certification in rope access techniques (IRATA qualification) and GWO Basic Safety Training and Blade Repair Training are mandatory. A high HSE focus and capability related to wind energy operations are essential.

A willingness to travel for extended periods, often in remote locations, is required. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment are necessary for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of wind turbine blades to identify and assess any damage, wear, or structural issues.
  • Utilise rope access techniques to reach and navigate the entire surface of the blade, ensuring a comprehensive examination.
  • Execute maintenance tasks on blades, including cleaning, painting, and repairing damaged areas.
  • Perform minor and major repairs on the surface and structural components of the blades using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Replace or upgrade components as needed to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
