The department of operations engineering provides comprehensive support to the three pillars of Vestas service: onshore, offshore, and multi-brand as required, along with installation project support.

We offer technical assistance to projects, sales, and contract managers (including direct customer support) throughout the entire wind farm lifecycle.

The Blade Specialist function reports into the Blade Manager APAC, providing regional support for technical queries and escalations, forming a seamless link with Tier 1 (CIM/VPS) to ensure timely resolution to support requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship to the blade support team in APAC.
  • Lead root cause analysis workshops.
  • Conduct technical writing for customer memorandums, technical reports, case studies, and business case development.
  • Review and approve technical documents.
  • Analyze severity of blade damages and implement mitigation actions to ensure safe and reliable operation of blades under service in Vestas.
  • Assess blade damages on-site and report internally and externally.
  • Manage customer and insurance calls for technical blade-related matters.
  • Support projects on tools and generate non-standard repair methods.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, CIM & VPS teams.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards and legal regulations, focusing on reducing energy production costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering background (M.Sc. or higher).
  • Significant experience in the blade industry (10+ years).
  • Vestas experience is highly desirable.
