Our organisation is seeking a skilled Quarry Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our quarry site.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Performance: Ensure the site adheres to strict safety protocols and maintains a safe working environment for all employees.
- Production Targets: Drive the achievement of production targets, ensuring timely delivery of materials and products.
- Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership and guidance to a diverse team of operators, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Environmental Compliance: Manage environmental compliance and quality control, ensuring that all operations meet regulatory requirements.
- Customer Service: Provide superior customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Operational Planning: Plan and monitor extraction, production, and inventory, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Cultural Change: Drive and lead cultural change, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Leadership Attributes: Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team of operators, with strong people management skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Financial Management: Experience in managing budgets, P&L statements, and understanding finances and costs.
- Quarrying Experience: Relevant experience within a quarry operation, with relevant qualifications desired.
- Best Practice Quarrying: Proven experience in best practice quarrying, sales, maintenance, production, load, and haul.
- Community Engagement: Ability to manage, influence, and build rapport with stakeholders from various functions to effectively manage projects.
- Resilience: High levels of resilience and determination to deliver successful outcomes.
