Drive innovation in software development as a Technical Director.

Role Overview

The Technical Director will provide strategic technical leadership across both backend and frontend development, guide a team of developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the technical delivery of projects from solution design to implementation and deployment.
  • Guide backend development using PHP (e.g., Symfony or Laravel) and frontend architecture using Angular.
  • Work with AWS serverless services to design scalable and cost-effective infrastructure.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and manage build processes with tools like Docker.
  • Leverage modern tooling and observability practices to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Write and maintain automation tests and write unit tests using frameworks like Cypress or Jest.
  • Identify and research emerging technologies or tools that can improve team efficiency and product quality, and drive their adoption.
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers through all phases of software development.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s with developers, supporting their growth and performance.
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Angular.
  • Solid knowledge of AWS serverless services.
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing tools like Cypress or Jest.
  • Deep understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and build/release processes.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
