Manufacturing Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to support our engineering function, manufacturing tools or subassemblies. The ideal candidate will be able to provide valuable feedback on operational best practices to the engineering team, based on their experience when manufacturing the tool.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and assemble tools, including specialized thermite heaters.
  • Take ownership of planning own work to meet production and schedule requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis of any manufacturing issues based on understanding of melting alloy technology and downhole thermite heater technology.
  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
  • Maintain production logs and inventory of job materials.
  • Contribute to operation's and assembly manual content.
  • Participate in design reviews, proposing feedback based on operational experience.
  • Complete JSA's and HIR to company standards.
  • Maintain clean equipment and work areas.
  • Contribute to workplace improvement in terms of HSE and 5s principles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Manufacturing Technician is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and practice of 5s principles.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings and processes.
  • Strong HSE ethics.
  • A self-starter with strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Able to work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Working knowledge of general laboratory/manufacturing safety and record keeping.
  • Good mathematical skills and ability to manipulate data and convert between units of measure.
