The role of ICT Support Technician is crucial in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure of an educational institution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing DNS filtering, cybersecurity policies, and network security requires a thorough understanding of current threats and best practices.
  • Administering and managing Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory demands proficiency in these tools and a commitment to data security.
  • Maintaining the school management system (TASS) and Classroom Cloud involves ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality.
  • Overseeing and maintaining laptops, desktops, printers, telephony systems, and peripherals requires regular monitoring and timely replacement or upgrade as necessary.
  • Planning and executing yearly maintenance, hardware upgrades, and system optimizations call for strategic planning and execution.
  • Student laptop deployment, ensuring proper configuration and distribution, necessitates close coordination with stakeholders.
  • Operating and managing AV equipment, including projectors, interactive displays, and sound systems for school events, requires a keen eye for detail and technical expertise.
  • Collaboration with school leadership on IT projects and infrastructure improvements demands open communication and a willingness to adapt.
  • Developing a yearly ICT action plan in consultation with the Principal calls for a clear understanding of institutional goals and objectives.
