About the Role

We are offering a unique opportunity to train individuals in Western NSW Local Health District mental health services to support the needs of Aboriginal communities across New South Wales.

This three-year program is comprised of three core components:

  • Workplace Training and Support: Train and work within inpatient and outpatient mental health drug and alcohol settings in Bathurst, supporting consumers across various age ranges.
  • Education and Development: Pursue a recognised University degree and participate in mandatory Clinical Placements (and potential workplace rotations).
  • Mentorship and Supervision: Be linked with a supervisor and mentor, working within a multidisciplinary team as well as the wider Aboriginal workforce and MHDA teams.

You will be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of rural health and contributing to the development of a skilled Aboriginal mental health workforce.
