Emergency Department Specialist

Delivering expert clinical care across a mixed adult and paediatric Emergency Department, you will provide consultation and advice to patients, families, and colleagues. You will participate in aeromedical coordination, engage in outreach through the Frailty Intervention Team, lead and contribute to quality improvement, peer review, and audit.

You will work across adult and paediatric zones, the short stay unit, and contribute to aeromedical retrieval coordination for North Queensland. This is an opportunity to thrive in a high-performing Emergency Department while enjoying the lifestyle and rewards of regional Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical care across a mixed adult and paediatric ED
  • Participate in aeromedical coordination and engagement in outreach through the Frailty Intervention Team

  • Work across adult and paediatric zones, the short stay unit, and contribute to aeromedical retrieval coordination for North Queensland
Benefits

We offer a comprehensive remuneration package designed to reward your expertise and commitment:

  • Attraction and Retention Incentive Allowance – 50% of base salary
  • Regional and Rural Attraction Allowance – 5% of base salary (Palm Island: 10%)
  • Motor Vehicle Allowance – Between $21,000 and $25,500 per annum
  • Professional Development Allowance – $21,500 per annum + 3.6 weeks of professional development leave
  • Emergency Department Specialist Allowance of 25% base salary
