About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our team at REST Industry Super. As a key member of our Advice team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our advice services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies, focusing on the identification and mitigation of potential risks in our Advice operations.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance reviews of Advice team activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain robust compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.

You will be responsible for providing risk and compliance training to Advice team members, monitoring legislative changes, and maintaining accurate records of advice-related activities.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, economics, financial planning, business, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years' experience in risk management and compliance in the financial services industry, preferably in line 1 or 2 advice compliance.
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulations and legislation, with experience in interpreting compliance obligations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide recommendations for improvement.
