Mental Health Clinician Opportunity

As a skilled mental health clinician, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored interventions to support individuals experiencing acute suicidal ideation or having attempted suicide.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team and make a meaningful contribution to the mental health services provided at Southwest Healthcare.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated expertise in mental health clinical services and be knowledgeable about current trends, legislation, and policy directions in mental health services.

About the Role
  • Deliver evidence-based biological, psychological, and social interventions to individuals aged 16 and over who have been referred following a suicide attempt or are experiencing acute suicidal ideation.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team model, providing specialised mental health services.

A proportion of work will take place outside regular business hours, with shifts scheduled at least one month in advance.

What We Are Looking For
  • Experienced Mental Health Clinician with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Proven ability to apply recovery-oriented practices, trauma-informed care, and current trends in mental health services.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with AHPRA, where required.
  • Social Workers must be eligible for registration with AASW.
