Job Title:

Financial Operations Manager

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee the accounts receivable team and ensure accurate and efficient processing of invoices. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage high-pressure situations and de-escalate effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Accounts Receivable team, providing guidance and support to achieve goals.
  2. Process Management: Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process - invoicing, payments, and fund application.
  3. Customer Relationships: Handle escalated customer queries, disputes, or payment issues while maintaining strong client relationships.
  4. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyse reports on ageing, collections, and cash flow to identify trends and improvements.
  5. Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
  6. Training and Development: Deliver training to team members on processes, systems, and best practice.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, operations, tech, and customer service teams to streamline workflows and resolve bottlenecks.
  8. Case Work: Manage case work across multiple stakeholders, including investigating complaints, collecting payments, and updating job details.
  9. Compliance: Ensure accurate completion of rebate documentation in Formbay to meet compliance standards.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to manage high-pressure situations and de-escalate effectively.
  • Multitasking: Proven multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Accounting Systems: Prior experience with Xero or similar accounting systems.
  • Collections Experience: Previous experience in collections or accounts receivable.
  • Crm Knowledge: Familiarity with a SaaS CRM (Salesforce experience highly regarded).
  • Spreadsheets: Proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Education: Tertiary degree in Accounting/Finance/Business; professional accounting qualification desirable
