Role Overview

We are seeking a Defence Project Lead to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Defence and National Security team, you will be responsible for delivering multiple and diverse projects to ensure quality, time, and cost outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining effective client and stakeholder relationships;
  • Contributing to the development of project documentation to meet Defence requirements as well as the process for capability acquisition;
  • Working within a project team to enable the delivery of multiple and diverse projects;
Requirements
  • Experience working in a project management role, preferably within a Defence or government environment;
  • An ability to be flexible and work effectively within a small team environment;
  • A desire to learn and build on their existing project management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders;
  • Relevant or related engineering and/or project management qualification;
  • Due to the nature and sensitivity of our projects, it is mandatory for the successful candidate to hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance at Baseline level or higher;
Desirable Skills
  • Delivered projects within Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) and/or Royal Australian Navy (RAN);
  • Exposure to projects that included requirements definition and the acquisition process, including the management of procurement and hand over processes;
  • Project Management Registration with Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM);
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package estimated around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as flexible working arrangements and professional development opportunities.
