Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Distribution Services Coordinator to support our hospital operations team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing distribution and waste services, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

This is a full-time opportunity, requiring full working rights within Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute general items including pharmaceuticals, linen, specimens, and food across the hospital as per scheduled tasks.
  • Collect and deliver clean linen and manage dirty linen collection following manual handling and infection control protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in patient areas and designated spaces, including post-discharge cleaning.
  • Use and maintain distribution and cleaning equipment safely and report any faults or damages promptly.
  • Adhere to hospital health, safety, and zero harm policies, actively participating in safety initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in stores, distribution, or similar roles is preferred; healthcare experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety and infection control principles.
  • Strong customer service focus with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks in a busy environment, and maintain professionalism.
  • Well-presented, reliable, and committed to upholding confidentiality.
