Job Description

As a Laboratory Head, Biomedical Data Science, you will play a key role in leading and developing research teams to expand the institute's capabilities in biomedical data science. This includes synergising with existing groups and international partnerships.

You will be responsible for writing grant proposals, acquiring funding from external agencies, and preparing research papers for publication. Additionally, you will recruit, resource, and lead a research team to deliver a program of research meeting international standards.

Other responsibilities include recruiting and supervising postgraduate students, engaging in national and international research collaborations, planning and coordinating experiments, and evaluating the possibility and feasibility of alternative funding agencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Postdoctoral experience resulting in impactful publications
  • Experience in student and staff supervision
  • Excellent success in obtaining research funding
  • Unique skills and expertise complementing the 29 laboratories working at the institute
