This role offers a unique chance for an individual with a passion for health, safety and environment to make a significant impact in our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Set the tone by modeling safe behaviour and adhering consistently to company rules and requirements.
  • Provide leadership and support for consultation, communication and collaboration processes, encouraging individuals to report and discuss health, safety and environmental matters.
  • Maintain a strong field presence, verifying safety processes and controls to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Implement and align project-specific health, safety and environmental documentation, materials and resources with the company framework.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify learning opportunities and implement corrective actions.

About You

  • A highly desirable candidate would possess an electrical trade qualification and genuine interest/experience in a health, safety and environment role.
  • Desirable – experience in a similar leadership position within infrastructure maintenance, construction, civil works or mining industries.
  • Working knowledge of legislation, standards, codes of practice and ISO Standards 45001, 14001, 9001.
  • Strong communication skills and proficient use of Microsoft programs.

Qualifications Required

  • A relevant qualification in workplace health and safety/environment.
  • Valid current Australian full driver's license.
  • Return to work training.
  • Desirable – incident investigation qualification.
