Job Title: Professor of Sustainable Architecture and Construction
About the Role:
The University of New South Wales (UNSW) Australia is seeking a Professor of Sustainable Architecture and Construction to join our esteemed Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, delivery, and review of architectural construction and structures courses.
- Conduct classes, assess student learning achievements, and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses.
- Develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning, collaborating with colleagues across the School.
- Manage course administration as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance.
Accountabilities:
Apart from the responsibilities mentioned above, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Demonstrate and continuously develop a well-defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning.
- Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and minimum professional accreditation requirements.
- Contribute to curriculum development and management, working collaboratively with peers.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- PhD in a relevant field.
- Strong teaching and research experience in architecture and construction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary:
$150,148 - $172,261 per annum, plus 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading Pro Rata.
