About the Role

This is a part-time roster position offering a supportive work environment and an opportunity to contribute to the Unley Library Services community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing exceptional frontline customer service and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
  • Supporting a diverse range of library programs for children, youth, and adults, assisting with toy libraries, and conducting one-on-one tech help sessions to promote digital literacy in the community

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and proactive team member who excels in dynamic environments. You will enjoy working with the public, possess high initiative, and deliver timely and accurate information with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
  • A passion for delivering exceptional service to a customer base with high expectations
  • A customer-focused mindset, capable of providing helpful support and advice
  • An interest in supporting library programs, including digital literacy and children's activities
  • Flexibility to work across both Unley and Goodwood Libraries on a 7-day roster, including Thursday evenings, weekends, and short notice
  • Proficiency in using various IT systems, devices, and software
  • Previous experience and/or qualifications in the public library sector (employment/volunteering/work placement)
