Senior Commercial Lawyer

Job Opportunity
">- Provide commercial legal advice on business transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, asset acquisitions and disposals
- Manage privacy compliance programs and act as the data protection officer
- Lead competition and consumer law compliance initiatives
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to claims, contracts and operations
- Develop internal policies for governance, risk management and compliance
- Deliver regulatory compliance training to management and staff
- Collaborate with external advisors and stakeholders
Qualifications Required
- Admitted to practice law in Australia with unrestricted privileges
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Previous experience as an in-house counsel, preferably in a multinational setting
- Expertise in general commercial, privacy, competition and consumer law (intellectual property and IT law experience an asset)
This role involves providing strategic legal guidance to support business growth and minimize risk. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of commercial law, privacy regulations and competition compliance.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing complex legal projects, developing policies and procedures, and delivering training sessions to various stakeholders.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the incumbent will need to collaborate with internal teams and external advisors.
