Commercial Lawyer Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual with a passion for commercial law to join our team as a commercial lawyer.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of matters, including drafting business agreements, leasing agreements, and property transaction documents. They will also have the chance to develop their expertise in areas such as contract law, company law, and property law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and reviewing business agreements, including shareholder agreements, share investment and sale agreements, partnership agreements, contractor agreements, licensing agreements, loan agreements, and terms and conditions.
  • Drafting and reviewing leasing agreements, including retail, commercial, and industrial leases, and variations and extensions of leases.
  • Preparing property transaction documents, including contracts of sale, mortgages, caveats, and other land-related applications.
  • Attending to court appearances for litigious matters where necessary.
  • Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and providing exceptional client service.
Requirements:
  • 3+ Years PAE in the area of Commercial Law and ideally derived from top-tier or mid-tier firms.
  • Experience in and confidence running your own matters.
  • A passion for fostering client-lawyer relationships with the businesses you advise.
  • Experience with LEAP software (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail.
