Job Title: Instrumental Brass Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced instrumental music instructor to provide high-quality instruction on single reed woodwind and brass instruments.

The successful applicant will be able to instruct and demonstrate the instruments at all levels, from beginner to advanced, and be versed in a range of styles, contemporary and traditional.

This role involves direct instruction of students, rehearsing and contributing to concert bands, and contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the music curriculum area within the school.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert instructional guidance to students on single reed woodwind and brass instruments
  • Rehearse and contribute to concert band performances
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the music curriculum
  • Undertake other related duties as determined by the School Principal
  • Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, concerts, camps, and excursions
  • Maintain a positive learning environment for students under their care

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional instructional skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to assess student learning and implement improvements
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
