Empowering Young Minds as an Assistant Educator Leader

Big Fat Smile Group LTD invites a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Assistant Educator Leader at our West Wollongong Fun Club. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of school-aged children while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

About the Role

This permanent opportunity is designed for individuals who have a Diploma of Children's Services or related qualification and experience working with school-aged children. You will be responsible for implementing educational programs, promoting healthy relationships between children and their families, and ensuring compliance with Big Fat Smile policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging educational programs aligned with the National Quality Framework and Child Protection Legislation
  • Foster positive relationships with families, colleagues, and the broader community
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and safe workplace culture
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by regulatory bodies
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A cleared valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Diploma of Children's Services or related qualification
  • Experience working with school-aged children
  • Outstanding communication skills with families and the community
  • Demonstrated commitment to work health and safety
