Handyman Volunteer Opportunity

We are seeking a volunteer to assist our property team with minor maintenance and gardening jobs in our dementia-specific cottages.
- Tidy up gardens, prune plants, and perform minor repairs
- Change light globes, check BBQs, and pressure wash paths
- Paint and lubricate door locks
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to connect with our residents, providing meaning and purpose to your role. This is a great chance to give back to the community while developing new skills and making a real difference in people's lives.
About the Role:
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks including tidying gardens, pruning plants, and performing minor repairs
- Support the property team with tasks such as changing light globes, checking BBQs, and pressure washing paths
- Lubricate door locks and perform other related duties
Requirements:
- Age 18 or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, plus NDIS Worker Screening Check
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
