About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Moulding Technician to join our team at Pact Group's Somersby facility. As a Moulding Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate injection moulding machines and equipment, including cutters, lasers, and conveyors.
  • Initiate changes of moulds, hot stamps, inserts, and materials, and assign duties to operators accordingly.
  • Perform routine maintenance on injection moulding machines, handling equipment, hot stampers, and other relevant equipment.
  • Repair or attempt to repair any equipment breakdowns and call in the R&M team as needed.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Deliver finished goods to the warehouse department.

Requirements

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive education or practical experience in the field.
  • A trade background in electrical, mechanical, or toolmaking is highly desirable.
  • Problem-solving mindset and teamwork focus.
  • Good reading and writing skills.
