The RoleWe are seeking a Mine Survey Superintendent to join our Survey team at Olympic Dam. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with execution, planning, and design teams to deliver accurate and timely measurement and reconciliation. This will enable safe, efficient, and productive mining operations.
This position is based at Olympic Dam and offers a 5/2, 4/3 roster with FIFO or residential options. You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development are upheld;
- Managing and driving measurement and reconciliation processes, standards, and compliance with statutory requirements;
- Verifying activities required to fulfill site survey activities, including maintenance of site survey infrastructure and control networks;
- Building relationships with other work groups and customers to address and resolve issues effectively;
- Fostering a continuous improvement mindset through BOS practices and routines.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A qualification in Surveying or Geodetics;
- Proven experience in a similar leadership position;
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience in leading and developing teams while creating an engaging, supportive, and inspiring culture;
- Demonstrated experience in Continuous Improvement initiatives, looking at innovation and challenging the status quo;
- A proven ability to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans;
- Ability to work collaboratively across different work groups and proactively engage with a range of stakeholders;
- Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, Deswik.CAD & MDM or similar survey packages.
