Construction Career Opportunities

We are offering exciting construction career opportunities in various trades. As a successful applicant, you will have the chance to develop skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and complete a nationally recognized course of training.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • As a Plastering Apprentice, you will learn to assemble partitions and install and finish plasterboard and fibre cement sheeting to walls and ceilings.
  • As a Roof Plumbing Apprentice, you will install and maintain metal, fibreglass, and associated materials onto roofing structures, as well as perform tasks such as installation of facias, gutters, downpipes, valley gutters, ridge capping, barge capping, flashings, skylights, ventilators, and battens.

  • A willingness to develop skills and knowledge.
  • The ability to listen, follow instructions, and ask for assistance when required.
  • The desire to make a positive contribution to the workplace by being punctual, showing interest, and adhering to relevant workplace policies and procedures.
  • The ability to act responsibly and safely in the workplace.
  • The ability to develop effective working relationships both in the workplace and with team members.
  • The ability to complete timesheets correctly and on-time.

Position Requirements

  • To fulfill the requirements of Construction Opportunities, you must abide by the terms and conditions of the Training Contract.
  • You must complete inductions.
  • You must perform work in a satisfactory manner.
  • You must commit to and complete the Training Plan within the allocated timeframe.
  • You must comply with registration relevant to your field of work.
