Nursing Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a positive impact on people's lives.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with donors to provide a safe and comfortable experience, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.

  • As a Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, setting up machines and collections equipment, and inserting and removing needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.

  • You will also monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation.

  • Frequent communication and collaboration with the team are essential to achieving collection targets.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have excellent customer-facing skills and a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional service.

  • Comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials is a must.

  • Prior experience in blood collection is not necessary, as we provide paid and flexible self-paced training.

  • Able to stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products.

  • Flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
