The role of a Technical Service Officer involves the daily coordination and supervision of workshop/service areas to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily workload and ensuring effective efficiencies are gained
  • Performing medical rental equipment monitoring, servicing, and repairs according to Linde and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in admin, technical work areas, warehousing, and JFV
  • Optimizing service trip schedules and maximizing efficiencies in line with manufacturer and regulatory body recommendations
  • Maintaining accurate physical and system consumable stock levels for service and warehouse areas
  • Providing high-level technical and procedural support via various communication platforms
  • Assisting with receipting and dispatching of goods and organizing couriers

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Proactively identifying and rectifying SAP and ICC anomalies, including Virtual Transactions
  • Working collaboratively with Customer Service and other Technical Service Officers to deliver high-quality service
  • Ensuring training requirements are up-to-date
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Prior operations and technical knowledge experience (advantageous)
  • An electrical test and tag certification or ability to obtain one
  • A forklift license and a clean driving history
  • Proficiency in Windows-based programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • SAP inventory management skills, essential
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, prioritization, diagnosis, fault-finding, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously
