Cyber Security Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security specialist to research, develop and publish cyber security guidance and technical advice.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cyber security, preferably with experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud or operational technology.

As a Cyber Security specialist, you will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support technical publications, producing novel and unique advice on contemporary cyber security issues, and working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support technical publications
  • Producing, coordinating and providing novel and unique advice on contemporary cyber security issues
  • Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong leadership experience, excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to prioritise workloads, think critically and manage projects.

In addition, the candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in cyber security and meet the essential criteria outlined below.

Essential Criteria
  • Communicates effectively at all levels across the organisation to broad audiences with divergent objectives
  • Develops, implements and reviews processes that embed strategic management in operational management
  • Provides professional advice that informs operational leadership and influences the translation of strategy into operations in their specialist area
  • Provides advice and guidance to enhance adoption of and adherence to information assurance architectures, strategies, policies, standards and guidelines
  • Works under broad direction, defining tasks and delegating work to teams and individuals within area of responsibility
