The core responsibility of this role is to collaborate with the National Operations Loss Team and provide actionable insights, business performance reporting for Australian Supermarkets related to stock loss.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver Performance Insights: Provide in-depth analysis and commentary on departmental and category performance including underlying loss, supporting weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Drive Performance Improvement: Offer decision support and lead key forecasting and planning processes to enhance financial and operational outcomes.
- Optimize End-to-End Performance: Collaborate with operational and finance stakeholders to improve overall performance and decision-making.
- Cultivate Continuous Improvement: Identify, implement and lead process enhancements within the finance team and across the business ensuring data integrity.
- Foster Team Collaboration: Actively engage in team development, sharing improvements and maintaining robust financial processes and controls.
- Cultivate Strong Relationships: Build effective working relationships across various teams and embrace change to achieve individual and team goals.
- A CPA/CA qualified experience or equivalent experience preferable with multinational FMCG or retail experience preferred.
- Able to communicate complex financial information in a simple manner including presentation and storyboarding skills.
- Sound organisational and effective time management skills including ability to navigate uncertainty conflicting demands and shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills including ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- Ability to work flexibly and with agility.
- Experienced using and navigating large data sets to support key messages including simplifying the complex within reporting. Advanced financial modelling skills and experience with SQL GCP and Tableau are preferred.
