We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Care Specialist to join our healthcare team at Canterbury Hospital. The ideal candidate will have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or be eligible for immediate registration, and be able to practice independently.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical services to inpatients and outpatients, including rotating between clinical and service area rosters. They will provide education and medicines information services to patients and other healthcare professionals, and participate as an active member of multidisciplinary teams.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to inpatients and outpatients
- Rotate between clinical and service area rosters to ensure efficient service delivery
- Develop and deliver education programs to enhance patient knowledge and understanding of medications
- Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA, or eligible for immediate registration
- Ability to apply current and good practical therapeutic knowledge in a clinical environment
- Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development relevant to areas of practice
