Trade Assistant - Equipment Maintenance Opportunity

Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Trade Assistant to join our team in Gladstone. As a Trade Assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform or assist with component repairs and learn component disassembly and assembly on-the-job
  • Generate professional technical/service reports and accurately input time sheets daily
  • Support production with yard work and dispatch duties, and engage in and promote Kaizen and quality control activities
  • Develop basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, and maintain a strong commitment to safety
  • Prior experience as a Trade Assistant is highly regarded, but not essential

Requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and develop skills
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and a can-do mindset
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service and a strong commitment to safety
  • Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office
