The Communications Officer role involves working as part of a dynamic team to translate and promote the Centre's research program.
We are seeking an innovative, self-motivated individual looking to make a positive impact as part of an organisation that contributes to community resilience and safety.
- Assist with content creation by sourcing, writing, editing, proofreading and distributing research content across various internal and external channels including media releases, publications, newsletters, websites and social media platforms.
- Contribute valuable insights to the Centre's physical and online events, as well as assist in developing engaging visual content, providing photography and videography support and tracking digital performance metrics.
Tertiary qualified in a relevant field, you will have at least two years' professional experience and skills in communications and publications.
Key Selection Criteria- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop high-quality content across various formats.
- Strong organisational, team and communication skills.
- Experience in maintaining online content – text and images, web and social media platforms.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- At least three years' relevant work experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
- Relevant skills, experience or knowledge of science communication would be highly regarded.
