About the Role

The Marketplace team at Wavemaker is responsible for delivering exceptional implementation planning and buying services, leveraging data, technology, and automation to execute and amplify client campaigns effectively and efficiently. As a Director within this team, you will lead the direction, workflow, and quality of implementation planning and buying for the client team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team with overall responsibility for the direction, workflow, and quality of implementation planning and buying for the client team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and internal reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest media landscape trends and forecast challenges and opportunities for clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality results and meet client expectations.
  • Identify and articulate areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the team's performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading a team and driving results.
  • Strong knowledge of the media landscape and ability to articulate trends and challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborative and astute, with the ability to build trust and respect within the team.

What Success Looks Like

In 3 months:

  • Established collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders and internal reports.
  • A strong understanding of the agency and group proposition, core Marketplace processes, and our way of working.
  • Immersed yourself in the team with an understanding of the status of all active and upcoming campaigns.

In 6 months:

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on all aspects of the role in an efficient, effective, and proactive way.
  • Strengthened key stakeholder relationships to deliver great team work consistently.
  • Leading the Marketplace processes for the team's clients from end to end, ensuring that your manager and wider team are regularly updated.

In 12 months:

  • Taking on greater ownership for campaigns and clients – responsibility and volume.
  • Building strong relationships with publishers, representing the Wavemaker team appropriately and ensuring that campaigns are delivered to the highest quality.
  • Elevating your impact and influence within the business, with demonstrable benefits for the agency and our clients.
