Job Summary

The Company Accountant will play a pivotal role in driving financial operations and providing strategic financial guidance to the business owners. This is a hands-on, broad range accounting position that requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, credit control, and reconciliations
  • Manage payroll, including salary payments, superannuation, and related payments
  • Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making
  • Provide financial guidance and advice to business owners and management team

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role
  • Strong proficiency in financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with financial software, including Xero and other accounting packages
